Well if everything goes as plan hoping noon to one in the afternoon. I can bring like Hot Dogs lol and some pop debating on camping or just getting a motel in Randolph.
I've been debating on whether to pull the 5th wheel up there or not. It kind of depends on what the DW is planning for the weekend. The only problem is that the furnace in the darn thing hasn't been working and I don't think I'll get a chance to work on it before then. Jack, there aren't any elect. hookups at Fancy Creek on the west side are there? If there were, I could just throw in a elect space heater. Several folks could crash there if I bring it. It is winterized, so no water, but still a place to sleep and hang out.
They do have electric hook ups, but no water. I'll bring 5-6 galons of water if you can hold out till then. The hook ups are located near one of the pit tolets. If you enter Fancy Creek through the west entrence (the road that go's south past the propane dealer and down to the ORV area) go past the range entrence and the self pay station and take the first right. Then a very short distance take the next right. The camp host spot is on the right but I would think they would be gone by now. Then the pit tolet on the right. Then a short distance to the hook up spots. I like to camp at #1 site because of the large tent area but there are a few pull threw sites also.
I have no idea how crowded it will be. The Motel in town may be full up also. Lots of hunters up that way and it being turkey day weekend there could be some other folks up there.
Now just nothing better than except added in. Wheeling is fun but I really like to use my truck to get me to some of the most remote campsites in the US. I will sleep really well in my bed, in the back of the Bronco or in a tent. I have two good tents and 4 good bags. So we have extra stuff for two others to camp.
One thing I learned is to dress in layers. Sweat pants and sweat shirts are good to take along. You can even wear shorts and I like a t-shirt. The sweat pants that have a gather at the ankle really helps keep you warm. If you have a hooded sweat shirt that is great also. Lots of heat lost through your head. If it's warm during the day I'm in a t-shirt and sweat pants. In the evening I put the sweat shirt on over the t-shirt. Late when it gets cold and I'm just setting around I have my men in plaid jacket with a hood. At night I take off the jacket and shoes and sleep in the bag. Depends on how cold it is if I have to zip the bag up or not or take off clothes. If it's really cold I wrap the bag around my head leaving just a small opening to breath through. Most times I'm toasty warm when I wake up and able to get dressed and sometimes I'm so warm I'm out and about in a t-shirt for a while.
Now I'd like nothing better than to plan a big cook out saturday evening but I'm not sure when we'll get there and I hate to have everyone waiting around on us to arrive. Wish I could drive up friday evening and set up camp (before dark) and maybe fire up a dutch oven or two. Then kick back by a fire. Like I did last time. But Clint has to work and that's not possible. Maybe next time.
Del if you or others would like to camp and want to bring up the trailer your more than welcome. I am just so used to sleeping in my truck and tent that I do better in them than anywhere else.

I should be there around 10:30 Saturday. I'll plan heading up to the staging area around 12:30 or so to meet you. You have a cell?
If I can get away from work in time I may make mid-afternoon. Since we may have some campers I could leave the BII at the camp site saturday night and not have to drag it home. LOL
I may run up there this weekend and scope out a possible site it I think I will be bringing the trailer. I'll know before the 26th if I'll have it up there.
