I had a great time today even though it was cut short by the rain. On the bright side we were lucky we left when we did because there was a tornado spotted just west of tuttle. Whew! missed that one. We made it home safely though. I am looking forward to the next time! Hope everyone made it home ok.
Had a great time and glad to see some new faces make it out.
goatee you are welcome with us anytime you feel like coming out, it was good to meet you.
Chad, you may very well have seen a funnel, there was one spotted just west of Tuttle and a couple more to the south. We ran into a little rain but some real hard winds at about Wamego.
Kurt, glad you made the trip, to bad the weather cut it short but hope you will join us for one of the next ones.
Mark, if you decide to stay next time just come on along with Tony.
Thomas, sorry to hear your truck acted up again but glad to see you made it.
Clint, hope the weather wasn't to bad. It looked like you guys were headed into a mess.
Jack, glad you made the trip and Joe sure was glad to do a little driving. Got a good video of him coming up the hill.
Del, hope you made it home alright with the camper in the wind. Glad you made it out and hope Joe didn't scare you. LOL
Thanks to everyone whom made the trip and hope to see you all again on the trails.
All in all it was a good time. I think December will be a little busy but may look to late January for another round.

Like everyone else I had a good time also. It was nice to meet Scott and his family and to meet Kurt also. Thanks to everyone for making this trip a memorable one!
Looks like we made it out just about right. According to the news and people in the area there was a tornado spotted 5 miles west of the Randolph Bridge.
Well guys sorry i didnt make it up there. Has something come up and it pissed me off cause i was reallt lookin forward to havein some fun. Maybe ill have my truck running by next time and i can join in the fun!!
Today was even worst. You wouldnt believe what i did today. I was gettin ready to get my snow plow out of the backyard and believe it or not, i ran over my gas meter and had to call the hotline to have them fix it!!Long story short, gonna cost me a bundle to pay for that!!
We left west out of Randolph. Didn't see any funnel clouds. Went south to 24 and then west to 15. Hit some heavy rain south of Clay Center. There was a bunch of bad looking stuff over to the south east about where 77 was. But we missed a lot of it. No hail or really bad wind. Had some wind that made it fun but nothing we had to slow down for. Just slowed down twice for rain cause we couldn't see but neither one of those was for very long.
Man in the gas station/all in one store told us how to get around the bad stuff and was right on. Kurt was driving his dads brand new 2005 Power Stroke FX-4 F-250 with less than 5000 miles on it and his folks were calling to give up dates and checking on us to see if we ran into hail or anything like tornado debri.
I made it home OK on sunday afternoon. I just pulled into the storage lot to unhook the camper and the tornado sirens were going off with tornado warnings. I went ahead and unhooked and headed for home. I saw you wave Flip, but didn't realize it was you until you were going past. We didn't have any really bad weather here at home, but there were some houses out at Fort Riley that got hit. My wife works at the PX and she didn't even know it had hit until she was coming home.
I had to go back to the camper and take care of a couple of things this evening that didn't get done last night. Darn, it is cold out there after thunder storms and tornados one night, and cold and snow the next.
I had a great time saturday and sunday. Kurt, it was nice to meet you, and goatee, I'll try to get the son in law bring his binder(scout) next time. The rest of you, good to see you again.
So where are all the pics? I forgot to bring a camera but nabbed these from the TrailKrawlers site. Mark and I was wheeling with them Saturday morning.
I updated my web site and added Kurt's Rock Garden pic's to the top of the FTE page and added some text. I'll burn CD's of the original's and bring them to the Christmas dinner for anyone who wants them. Just let me know.
Cool stuff. THanks for posting them. I wanted to show a couple of my nephews at least what kind of terrain etc we drove through even if I couldn't attempt the mud holes etc.
I didn't hit the mud holes either. Been through a few in my time and just don't feel the need much these days. Wish I could have made it on saturday when it was dry and made some climbs. But there is always next time.
Looks Like I missed a new toy... Rollie and Tony Beat me by a 1/2 hour to get a new Bronco II ... Guess it pays to read my private messages earlier ... Hope it works out for you guys.
