I probably will be late for the BS saturday night. Still have things to do to the BII. I tried everything tonight and still have feedback into the MSD Box. I put the pump on a relay, the box on a relay, the fan on a relay, changed the pump, ran new wires to the pump and it is all the same. Did finish the flares and inner mods though. So I figure I have about 2 hours at least to do tomorrow.
Well it seems the r word is back. Looks like 40 percent chance saturday night late and then 80 percent sunday. Thunder storms sunday morning and showers off and on in the afternoon. High for sunday has been reduced to 57 also.
Should be great weather for those who can make it today though. And hope it holds off for the campfire tonight. I have cobbler.
Well if you go by the Weather Channel then it is supposed to have scattered T-storms late tonight and ending early tomorrow morning, then get up to about 55 and then rain and snow late sunday night and into monday.
If you go by WIBW out of Topeka - Tonight...partly cloudy and not as cold. Lows in the upper 30s.
Saturday...partly sunny. Highs near 60. South winds at 10-20 mph.
Saturday Night...becoming cloudy with scattered showers possible mainly after midnight...mild with a low near 50.
Sunday...Warmer with a chance for showers and t-storms. Highs in the low to mid 60s.
Monday...windy and colder with a chance of a bit of light snow or flurries. Temps steady or faliing from the mid 30s into the upper 20s by late in the day. Little to no accumulation expected Topeka and south, but an inch or two possible Manhattan to Concordia
Just to let folks know again, I'm pulling the old 5th wheel camper up to Fancy Creek. I'll go up this afternoon today to the camp ground and will have room for folks. I haven't heard yet who needs a roof. See you all the afternoon. I'll bring some stuff for fry bread and bacon in the morning for breakfast.
Rollie can ya give me directions to get out there? I think ill be leavin in the mornin to show up out there. Wifes going to a game in lawerence and im alone. Also i need to talk to you about something but i forgot what it was. Maybe ill remember for tomorrow!!
Jeff, You are asking for directions from ROLLIE! You're in trouble .
If you take 24 west out of Manhattan it merges with 77. Follow 77 North 30 to 35 Miles. There is a big brown sign saying Tuttle Creek ORV Area. Follow the signs east a couple of miles from there, this will take you to the parking lot.
If you get to the Cafe, and Gas Station in Randolph you went too far, the turn off is a mile or so behind you.
I'm a good boy and off to church, then I am heading out @ 9:00.
The family and I had a great time guys thanks for letting us join up with you. Id look around for something with a blue oval to drive there if I didn't already have so much extinct iron to drive around. The missus would kill me!
I had a great time too... even if I did earn the coveted JEEP award... (last to get stuck) Honorary mentions where Rollie and Tony... Thanks Clint and Jack for the tow. My Nephew thought the whole trip was great. No Carnage to report on my truck. Sorry we had to cut the day short.... It was a long rainy ride home. Might have seen a funnel cloud in the rearveiw mirror, but I am not 100% sure, I just kept it there and drove as fast as I dared.. which was 45-50 for a good portion of the way.
I saw Husker on the way home and waved big... (You where headed south and I was going north on 77, saw you about where 24 heads west)... I went clear around the lake to get home, because of dropping of my nephew...
I also saw the trooper that pulled Scott over (Goatee) He was nabbing somone else west of lenardville.
I'm up for another trip.... Mid Jan???? I hope to have the light blue truck up and running by then.
I had a great time it was little wet. Kurt was able do the rock garden before it started raining. Look like Joe had a good time driving. Then followed Tony and Rollie threw the mud holes.
Well my truck gave me more of the same trouble in Frankfort so i had to stop for 30 to 45 minutes there and then the rain and wind caught me on 36 but i finally made it home. Had a great time this weekend hope to do it again.
