Temp tag fee is $55.00. The offer is good as long as Ford doesn't lower the rebates. I guarantee the rebate that's in effect at the time you place the order. Today, it's $2500 plus the $750 disaster monies, and both of those are SUPPOSED to be good until January 3rd. But Ford can change them any time they want. I'll guarantee the $2500 if it's ordered today. If the rebate goes down, I'll make up the difference. If the rebate goes up, you'll get the higher rebate. If Ford lowers the rebate to $2000 tomorrow, and you order it on Monday, then I guarantee $2000.
I get this question all the time, so can someone answer me a queston? If you know you're going to order soon, why would anyone WAIT to order a truck from me? I can see it if you don't plan on buying till spring or summer, but if you're waiting to see if the rebates are going to go up- well, I'm going to give you the higher rebate. But if the rebate goes down, you're going to get the lower amount. I'm totally baffled why anyone would wait; you're only running the risk of getting a lower rebate. What am I missing here?
After Visting a dodge dealer to see if they had a v10 since our local ford didnt have one. (which buy the way they didnt have one either). I got to talking to the sales person and they told me basically the same thing. If I order, Im locked into the rebates at time of order, if it came in and the rebates were greater or had a different incentive I could either take the deal at time of order or at time of delivery, whichever one I wanted.
Then went over to the Ford dealer the next day, and asked them about rebates and incentives and what would happen when I ordered. They told me whatever is in place when I order is what I get.. If the deals change then I take my chance.
So now after reading this from jeff Im assuming that this is a "Dealer Choice" in whether or not you can take advantage of the current deal or the deal when it comes in and has nothing to do with ford itself?
Another Item on my mind is the disaster rebates.. are they only available for those in the southern states or how are they doing that?
1) You got it. OFFICIAL Ford policy is, you get the rebate that's in effect at the time you take delivery. They (Ford) couldn't care less what it was when you ordered it. We started to guarantee the rebate only to take some of the uncertainty out of ordering a vehicle. As it's become impossible to stock the "right" Super-Duty anymore (4x2 or 4x4? Regular, Super or Crew Cab? Short or long-box? Gas or diesel? Single or dual-rear-wheel?), ordering what you want from the factory becomes a bigger part of our business every day.
2) For the disaster rebate, you would have had to lived in a county or parish affected by the hurricanes to qualify. at the time of the disaster. You no longer have to live there to qualify, but you have to show proof that you had a residence there at the time of the hurricane(s).
