8 inch front lift do i need to lengthen front driveshaft
got a 6 inch now but the 37s rub so talked to bds and they will work me out a deal on a set of 8 inch fronts, rear is already 2 inches higher than front. will i have to lengthen front drive shaft?
yes you will or at least should. also it is recommended to have drop steering linkage and may need to drop carrier bearing too as well as needing longer brake lines and sway bar drops and track bar or TTB brackets to keep the geometry correct.
yes on top of that i would recommend new brake lines, new drop pitman arm, adjustable extended drag link. a dual steering stabilizer would help dampen steering.
Ditto, ditto, and ditto. However, you just need to trim a little off the back portion of you inner fender well, drill a couple holes in it, and pull it back with heavy duty zip ties and your rubbing issues are non-existent.

i fully agree, if you deside to go with the 8in springs i think that you will find that the 37's look a little too small. i would trim the inner fender and leave the 6in lift, just my 2 cents.
el gato ive done the trimming and it really helped, ive also cut a little of the fender away just to make sure. on the 8 inch kit according to bds all the hardware is the same from the 6 inch just different springs. i dont want to get into replaceing everything on my current lift though if thats the case.
