So what happened to the tube? Rust off or something?

so will that cure my low boost as well?
Probably....depends on if that is the only problem, but it definitely will help.

When we had to tube off we started it just to make sure nothing was in the hole going to the tube and it was definately noticeable. I cant understand why the tube would be missing. I would say your truck would run pretty bad and loose allot of boost with that tube missing. I just cant understand how that tube would be missing. It was a &%^&* pain in the A$$ to remove that tube from the bottom of the sensor.

It could be missing if someone else used to own the truck and removed it, pluged the manifold, and used an SPDiesel part that plugs into the sensor wire and fools the computer into thinking all is well.

Oh....in that case we are talking about different things. The EBP sensor is mounted to a tube that reads pressure off the passenger side exhaust manifold. That's what I thought you meant.

The actual backpressure valve mounted on the turbo is controlled electronically by the sensor and is mecanically activated by a control rod mounted in the turbo mount pedestal. If that rod has come loose and the valve is stuck in the closed, or partially closed position it can cause the symptoms you are having, but just a bad EBP sensor probably will not.

Sorry, I thought you were talking about the tube that goes from the manifold to the sensor near the front of the motor...
