EBP Question

EBP Question
I have an early build '04 with a automatic transmission. No tuner that I know of, stock programming and no studs.
I have read on this site that the EBP goes into the EGR flow calculation and I have a P0401 EGR low flow code right now. The EGR cooler is about a year old and the EGR valve is new. I have also read on here that the EBP was written out of some programs. I have a Scangage II and installed the EBP PID. When selected, the EBP PID is blank.
Is this indicative of the EBP not in the programming? If so, what else should I look for to get the P0401 to clear?
Thanks

Seeing a blank on EBP does indicate the inferred strategy is loaded on the truck. Double check your xGauge numbers just to be sure, an error there con get you a 0 also.
I don't know everything involved that throws the low EGR flow code but the primary player is IAT2. It's in the driver side of the intake and the ECM is looking for corresponding rise and fall of the intake temp relative to the EGR valve position.

That should be safe. I use brake kleen successfully. I usually carefully pick out the big chunks of carbon. Then holding it upright I spray it clean. The idea is to not shoot spray up inside the sensor. Before reinstalling blow it dry.
