Never mind. I checked all the paperwork the dealer gave me but what they did to the door locks was'nt in there. If I get a opertunity to ask them I will. Sorry I could'nt be more helpful.

I just changed my front actuators yesterday. This is a very common problem with these trucks and it should have been a recall!!! The best price for them is at fordpartsonline I paid $41.00 for each. Many people have used aftermarket units but I din't want to mickey mouse anything. The new units are improved and are much stronger. It is possible for all 4 to go out at one time. If somebody was laying on the button this will burn them up quick, or if they FOB was in your pocket and the button was depressed for a long time. If you have big hands like me it can be a little challenging but as already said the first one will take 45min and the others will be done in about 15. Both my fronts are working great now!!!

Same problem last summer. Passenger front went, then within a week passenger rear went. Bought two new actuators and haven't had a problem since. Symptoms were exactly like you say, I could hear it trying but it wouldn't open.

Did they just quit, or would the they work periodically?

My left rear door actuator quit. I replaced the actuator but it did no good. It seems like it wants to lock/unlock but doesn't. Seems like I gotta replace the whole lock assembly?

i have done the wd40 route and it will work for a short time. not really knowing what i was spraying in the back doors. however i did take off the front panels and sprayed to loosen up my windows, only to find my locks and door ajar light started working properly. seems to me these mechinisms get in a bind over time. maybe new stronger acuators will fix it for another few years. wonder if there are any TSBs on this? if there isnt there should be!!! keep us posted whomever figures this low priority problem.
