SRT Killer? Funny. This thing would be about as fast as a tank. Based on the Super Duty 350 platform....its a crew cab...long box. If this truck were real it wouldn't stand a chance against a smaller, lighter SRT-10 Ram. The tourqe is impressive though. Col idea and all, but not right matching it up to the SRT-10. Two very different rigs.

why stop w/ the SRT-10, why not go w/ the Venom Dodge? i mean i dont think anything could touch that. 4dr,short bed, runs 1/4 mile in a little over 10 seconds and 0-60 is 3.8 or something, lots of torque. Ford has yet to have a response to that.

Who makes the venom dodge? Is the Venom the Saleen for Dodge? I wouldn't get the SRT-10. If I'm gonna fork out that much why not go all the way? Just get the Viper. The local dealer had an SRT-10 on display for awhile. They wanted $55K. Nice looking truck but I'll stick with a lightning and spend the extra money making it faster. I saw a lightning for just shy of $40K iirc. That would give you $15K which should make the ford the faster truck.

If you are worried about which truck is cheaper, why don't you just buy an old beater for $250 and re-do the whole thing for fractions of the cost of the lightning.
Both trucks have their advantages, but I am willing to bet that if the new lightning comes to the market it won't be $40k either, probably closer to the $50k

Wht do you think the new Lightning will be so much more? All the new offerings from Ford have been very comparable to previous models. Look at the new Mustang, thats a steal. The new Super Duties are only what like $600-$900 more than last years.
I think a 2wd Reg. cab V10 F250 with a twin screw SC would smoke the SRT-10. With the oppropriate suspension set up.
