My Name is Darren, 34, Firefighter in Air Force near North Pole. I own a 2004 F350 4x4 dually 6.0L Turbo Diesel, CrewCab. Look forward to hearing from y'all. Oh, and I just found out I am gonna be a daddy for the first time in September!
Hey there firedawg,
Congratulations on the lil squirt! Glad to see another "brother" on the site! How 'bout joining us and making yourself an "official" member of our Chapter? It's easy to do. Simply go to https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=13
and look for the Alaska Chapter. You will find a Join Chapter link there along with my name. Click on the Join Chapter link and it will guide you through the quick process of joining. I will receive your request, and authorize you.
We've already got at least two "brother" firefighters here in the Chapter already!
It is good to see we have an Alaskan Chapter. I call from Eagle River and finally decided to get on order F350 6.0L SRW S.D. to replace the old '76 Camper Special. This was motivated by frost heaves and whoopdeedo's that cracked the frame more times then I care to admit. My favorite weekend spot is the Denali Hwy and if that '67 Franklin Truck Camper will fit, this is most likely where you will see my rig when the snow melts.

Have you experienced any injector problems or stalling with your 04 6.0L?
Hi all!
Ben and Angela here. We live in the North Pole area and at least one of us is driving a 2003 F-350 6.0L and the other is probably driving one of the '78 Chevys - Blazer or K20. Oh yeah, cannot forget the Mustang in the yard(temporarily out of commission).
Have a great weekend!

Hi firedawg,
I got your join request and you're all set! Yes I did buy from Seekins. Got a pretty good deal too which was helpful since I was out of a ride at the time!
Our Fairbanks "meet-n-Greet" will be held on Saturday, Feb 19th at Denny's Restaurant at 7:00 pm. Hope to see you there!

Welcome firedawg. 04 F350 with PSD and I have not had any issues with my motor. Have talked with others with the 04 and they seem to be doing fine. My coworker has an 03, early PSD and has had his EGR go bad which led to burning up his turbo. Nye loved that towing bill. He did get his also a Seekins.

I guess the technician had a bad day when he built my PSD, I have had nothing but problems with it. Matter of fact, it's at Seekins as we speak. I'll keep you informed of the prognosis. What department do you work at in Fairbanks?

Hi Firedawg. Not sure but was that last replay for Heavnbound or myself. Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your PSD. Hopefully things will work out for you.
Alot of reading but some real good information on the 6.0 and problems that some people have had. Look at the 6.0 Forum, https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...d.php?t=185570. Grab a case of your favoriate beverage, it will take awhile to read all of the post. Might give you some insight on the issues that you are having.

Well Darren I can address the last part of this...I don't work for Fairbanks Fire Dept. I work for Clear AFS Fire Dept, about 20 miles south of Nenana. And it will be good to see another "firedawg" at the meeting on the 19th! Hopefully you will be able to meet with us on Memorial Day at the big Chapter Gathering and meet our other "brother" from Valdez F.D.
Well I finally quit procratinating and joined the chapter.
