on that point, there hasn't been too much response from the east side of the river... KC, you're one of us, I would almost expect to hear from you on a meet of this nature. I'm not going to nail down the details until a little closer to time, when I can have more of a feel for what's all going to be happening. Volunteers for help are most certainly welcomed though!

I checked the link up provided ^^^^^ up there and it looks like we may need to communicate with the Illinois folks. The last message dated 2/18/2005 is:

I'm hoping to meet with the Wisconsin Chapter at Union Grove Drag Strip on August the 21st as it's Ford Days up there.

We still need to lock down a date location and time with the Iowa/Missouri Chapters.
What kind of volunteering do you need fellro86?

at this time not a lot of help is necessary, closer to time will be more, we have a few months to worry about it. I bewlieve it to be set for the 3rd weekend in July, I guess we should figure out if a Saturday or Sunday is better for everyone. As I have any clue on attendance, we will have to figure out what we are going to do, and things liek that, like will it just a get together/bs session, or do we want to try to do something more? cookout is a given, at least in my mind, and the bs session will likely happen too. I can't do a lot of heavy physical stuff, like volleyball or anything like that, not that I would stop it, just won't be able to participate in it myself. There is the marina down the road, if some would like that. There isn't much for grills on the grounds, so we would be best served to bring our own.I don't know if we really want to do a truck show, as mine would need to be in the ugly truck division... it does look pretty good from a distance though... I may have to try to get on those illini guys to hopefully get more response than we had the last time... I think the major part of their group is Chicago folk, makes it kinda tough to get out that far. I guess we'll just have to see where it goes, if nothing more, we'll just make it our own meet, and if they make it, great, if not, oh well. The Missouri guys are just trying to get going again, and the majority of them are St Louis and central Mo to KC area, not many in the northern part that would be likely to come. Then the fuel prices will make some stay home too. So we'll just have to play all of this by ear.

Fuel prices, no joke. I'm riding with Rob in the Stupor-duty. Both of us paying for 2.50 diesel is cheaper then me just paying for 2.30 gas. ^_^ I'll just drive 45 minutes to Chariton or something.

Between the Chinese and the Arab's....gas freakin sucks. I'm getting an M16 and going over to Iraq to liberate some oil fields. who's with me?
