Ok, I'll be there, look for a silver 86 F250 4x4, aluminum wheels. I'll try to have the seat out and there for you, Opie. I can be there whenever. If we are going to do the cookout thing, gonna have to bring a grill. If someone has a good one, and willing to bring it, please say so, or I'll be forced to bring my cheapy... If I recall, 15th is the best, but not sure. I posted a map link to view... post #95
I'm thinking early to mid afternoon...

If you want to come on down earlier, we could start early too. If we are going to eat, we could get a head start on it, and those that can't or don't quite want to be there that early can come when they want, if you can get more morning rather than afternoon. I'm available all day basically.

I guess I was unaware of the car show, but from what I have for response, it looks like it will be a small group coming anyway. The car show is on the west end of the park, and generally isn't all that big as a rule. Maybe 30 cars generally... I was figuring on being on the east end.

If you have the cahs for the stuff, that's great, if not, we'll figure it out someday. If you're just wanting the seat for now, that was about $20 I think.

I just found the car show on the net, it will be at the Hy-Vee parking lot, starting at 5 pm, then a cruise later that night.

i need the seat for sure, the manifold can wait as i still dont have a 4 barrel carb yet, and the glass can wait also. but i will get the 20 for the seat and 10 that i owe you. The new twins get most of my money these days. i plan on grabbing chrono around 11ish and heading down there, should be there around noon. CHRONO i will give you a call friday afternoon to confirm with you. otherwise plan on being picked up around 11 o clock saturday.

Hey Opie, if you want a junk carb to save the one you got from me, I can bring one, there is another truck here that has been out in the weather for years, no cover over the motor, no front clip, so I doubt that the carb will be any good any more. It's a 400 as well. too bad for the motor, unless it was junk already, I don't know on that, but it basically is now... I'll just bring it if you want it.

Noone else had said anything lately, so I don't know what to expect... have to play it by ear. I haven't gotten any responses from the Illinois grpoup, so we may well be on our own... I have the seat ready to go, and if you want to ditch your seat, I see no reason we can't go ahead and change it. I can get rid of it for you that way. I even cleaned my truck on the inside so it's all nice and pretty... gave me an excuse to do it, needed done for a long time.

awesome place to have a meeting fellro, the view was great but the weather was hot. Still could not believe i broke down on the way down there, stupied coil anyway lol but at least i made it. i waited until almost dark before putting the seat in. still got all sweaty but it much nicer. Kinda cool the carshow going on in the background, but i think that carbonfiber mess that parked behind us should be thrown over the bluff into the river. Sorry i had to leave at 2pm, but with twins at home gotta go. as for the other parts we talked about i will be making time to come get them here in a few weeks. the fender wells defintly, and the armrests and whatever else i can steal lol, just let me know when you will be home. later.

I'm usually here, give me heads up and I can be sure to be here... Yeah, I went back to the show afterweards for a while, then headed home, too hot to stay out too long. Sure would have been nice to have a few more new faces though... At least you made it down, after all the trouble, and I can understand how newborns can be demanding...
