favorite tool
Snap-On 1/4" flex head ratchet with 3/8" drive. I've had one of these for 22 years only had to replace it twice (when it grew legs) fits everywhere and tough enough to use a cheater bar on it. I'm a professional mechanic this tool gets used daily on 98% of all jobs.
Victorionox keychain swiss army knife (the little one) has more uses than I can list from nose hairs to metal splinters electrical probe etc. I get new ones every year Christmas and birthday never get tired of this gift.

Well, of all the tools I got in my "new" Snap On tool box, I would have to say the most useful is the 1/2" and 3/8" swivel impact adapters. For when you just can't fit your impact gun in a certain spot, throw one of these puppies on and you'll get that fastener out real quick.
My favourite tool isn't even mine. It belongs to the shop. Well, actually, it's the Millermatic 250. My boss is thinking of getting an argon bottle and an aluminum spool gun. Then I'd be happy, since I'm the only one at work who can weld aluminum.
As for my non-work related tools, it's a toss up between my mitre saw, and my brad nailer. Can't really do much without either one.

Mine has to be a 24" all aluminum Pipe wrench. Got it in 1964 and have used snipes on it and beat it with a hammer and the only thing I've had to do is replace the steel jaws about 10 years ago. It was made by Schick, the safty razor people. They were making helicopter rotor blades out of some very special aluminum alloy for the Viet Nam war and had some left over so they made some tools. It weighs less than a steel Rigid 12".
The mind.
But handheld tools, my husband's favorite is his 5lb Blacksmith's hammer. What he uses to hammer out his historical weaponry with. That and his 250lb anvil along with his coalfired forgeblower (1900 #400 Champion) With those and steel, I have seen him work and create wonders with.

18 Volt Dewalt grinder. I have used that thing more than the original tool I bought the kit for which was a 18VDC drill. I out a cutoff wheel on it and cuts bolts, chains, just about anything without the cord.

Got to love that 1/4" set
I can all most rebuild a Motorcycle with it.
My Autoenginuity scan tool that hooks up to my laptop. I can view the outputs of dozens of sensors and even datalog things like High Pressure Oil Pressure and Mass Fuel Demanded under wide open throttle conditions. I can then graph them in excel.
