not a single tool, but my 300 somwhat pice craftsman socket set, its so nice to have the right size socket for the job and not have to hack it up with a vice grip or cannel locks!
i actually forgot all abt my angle grinder, that comes in handy too, as i can put in a cutting blade or grinding blade, metal or masonry. and it fixes all my screw ups, and works as a cutoff saw since i dont have one
Leatherman Wave multitool, had one of the originals but didn't like the fact you had to open the whole thing up to get at the knife blade. With the Wave you have 2 knife blades, file, and saw available without opening it up. Can't leave the house without it.
I'd say my dremel has gotten me out of more fixes than any other single tool...other than that, I appreciate all my tools (especially my Craftsmen Micro-Torx break-away torque wrenches.
Probably my Snap-On ratchet. A friend gave it to me. It was his son’s ratchet who was killed in a car wreck. I look on it as a measure of our friendship each time I use it.

Well if we are going down this path, I like all the different size hammers my bother who passed a few years back left me. He had a different sizes and weights for every occassion. He was a mechanic for more than 20 years and he always said "if you have the right size hammer you can fix anything". It's not really true but everytime I pull out one of his hammers I smile..
I would have to say my favorite and most uesed tool is my
GERBER made Multi-tool! They open with a pull instead of flipping... I can have it open as I pull it out of its sheath.
I probably use it 10 times a day on a slow day.
The funny thing is I use to think multi tools were crap !
I thought they couldn't do anything good... just lots of stuff half a$$ed.
I've since eated those words
mine is my S-K 1/4" drive ratchet. it's been in my family since the early 80's and still works like new. it has taken some abuse but it has never failed me
My most favorite tool I found at my local auto parts store is a lighted 3/8" ratchet it makes getting at those hard to see places lit up like daylight it has a small magnifier lens in front of the bulb to intensify the light. three_bees
