Window Scratches 2004 SD

And all along I thought the scratches were the aftermath of the rearview mirror breaking, after an oncoming pickup, driving on my side of the road hit it.
I have totally gave up with Ford Motor or the dealership, as they allways find something else to blame the problems on.

window replacement
Ford replaced the driver side window on my 04. I think it depends on how your dealer explains the problem to the main office. Maybe I was just lucky.
Seems that if there is a TSB out, they better fix it! I'll know soon, the 06 is going in.

The 2004 I just bought has the same problem on both doors, I just assumed the truck wasn't washed often. But the rest of the truck is like it rolled out of the showroom. First vehicle I have ever owned with scratches like that.

like said above.you just have to clean the weather strip on the door. Put the window down and the felt strip collects dirt/rocks that scratch..its not a horrible desinge the felt strip is big so it holds the dirt. the older trucks have a smaller/ thiner strip and it dosent collect rocks and such as much.
