Can the window scratching problem be fixed?

I know this has been beaten to death but i have an 04 and the scratches are pretty bad on both my driver and passenger side windows, is there a fix with the side moldings that stops dirt from getting into them as quickly maybe adjusting it or something or are the newer moldings any better and can they be swapped out with the older vehicles? i have never seen an 08+ model truck with window scratches so far and i would love to get new windows eventually and try to do something about the scratching so i do not have to clean the gasket out every time ive got the windows down to make sure they wont scratch.

I would take your door panels off and make sure you know where the scratches are happening.

It is my seals my dad (previous owner) took it to the dealer and they would not replace them they just said to clean it every now and then but it was the cause, I was going to replace everything maybe by the end of summer if there is a known way to stop them or adjust the seals to prevent it. There have not been any new scratches that I can tell but I would just like it if i for new windows eventually if they would not scratch up on me.

Had my driver's window replaced under warranty and six months later the new glass was just as bad as the original. Replaced it one more time, and the same thing, so i gave up trying to keep it scratch-free. I work on a military installation and have to put the window down every time I drive onto the base to present my identification.

Thanks for the link! Ill have to try it, I know I love driving with the windows open when its warm out so if there was nothing I could do about it then I would just give up but I guess it could not hurt to try once.
