Good luck. I hope this does it for you. As I mentioned early on...Should have been a simple discovery for the tech if the "Y" pipe is it. Ford has bullitens out on this as I recall. Apparently not a simple install however. Maybe that is part of the problem, too.

That is a good site. Those are summaries of the actual bulletins. It's worth reading through them. But don't become a worry wart and think all these things happen to all trucks.
