On another subject the, 1704. Do you remove the handheld once you have tuned your vehicle or do you leave it connected?
You remove it.

You simply plug it into the OBD2 port, program, then unplug.

To set back to stock, reverse procedure =o)

This makes me feel better because it's at least consistent.
DAX0 was running change 4 and DAX1 was running change 5.

"Running Changes" are in order. This is simply a sequence ID that Ford uses.

DAX0 was indeed before DAX1

running change 6 was TEC0
running change 8 was TEC2

This is all I have to discuss on this matter at this time...
The question I had was "will your tuner work on my truck that has a DAX0 sticker?" It works fine with the Predator. I do not want to loose my engine braking characteristics by having it reflashed. This question is central for me and a lot of others.

The sticker is unfortunately irrelevant. It shows what the truck had when it left the plant. Ford probably changed it to a DAX1 or TEC2 at some point.

The tuner will work on these codes.

Are you saying it will work for all three? DAX0; DAX1; TEC2? If it will work, I will buy one, if not, I won't.

Does the TEC2 flash include the pilot injection?

It's the best out of those three.
It doesn't have the drivability problems of the DAX codes.
DAX has some cold start and surging issues (stock) that are really annoying.
Other people have no problems with these codes.
Cxances are, if you have a DAX0 or 1 box and it runs fine, it has already been reflashed to something else. The most likely case is that it is now a TEC2.

I've driven at least 12 trucks that are TEC2....they run great.
There are many other codes that run great.
My main focus here is that DAX codes have issues stock that later flashes can fix.

Yes.
I will post it for the 3 box codes we were talking about when I get to work tomorrow.

For the rest of them.......customer service will soon have a list of reference for supported/unsupported calibrations so this can be handled on the phone.
This isn't done yet....so please be patient.
