anyone ever notice that on most chevy trucks, and suv's there is always one running lamp burnt out. i always notice this on different years and models. i figured chevy would have figured it out by now and fixed it.
I have, I drive back and forth from Michigan to Indiana a lot during the summer. One time I just kind of started counting the lights that were burned out on passing chevy's. After counting 30 out of 32 with a burned bulb, I stopped counting. More were on the left than the right by about 3 to 1. (I was really bored on the trip, the expressway is 2 lane, totally straight, and very few vehicles, on a 4 hour trip)
It's not only the running lights it's also the brake lights. My roommate has had to fix both of his twice and I noticed last night I noticed the right one was out again.
Not much of a tech comparison thread but our Pontiac Grand Am GT (99) has a huge electrical issue. So maybe this is more wide spread that just chevys. We've had to replace two batteries in it (37k miles) 5 brake lights , 3 headlights and 2 fog lights. We haven't had to in the past 6 months because my dad brought it in and asked a lot of questions and they did a lot of searching and claim to have fixed the problem. Altenator also blew out at 15k miles. I like the style and performance , I hate having to help replace bulbs.

I notice that too - I've personally never had it to me. But see it's quite common - you'd think they'd take care of that..
I would assume they would. But GM is full crap anyways. So they don't care about they're consumer...yeah it is common and that their crap. They have to get their heads out of their behinds. your rite DMAX

Hmmm.
That same non-caring manufacturer just put a 200,000 mile warranty on the Duramax injectors. They did that with far fewer problems then Ford is having with there new 6.0. If you ask me - Ford has to step up.

I seem to notice more on the 'old-new' body style - if you take my meaning..
oh you mean the one that is exactly like the new one just with diffent lights and hood. Yeah, it does seem really common in that body style my roommate's is a 2000.
