I was just trying to bring some humor to this "discussion". And I did read the whole thread, funny thing was, it was about the Ford 5.4L in the F-150 vs. the 5.7L Hemi, I found it amusing how you brought your V-10 into it. So I thought I'd try the same thing here. Both comments have equal relevance in both threads.... none at all.
Have a good one!

Yeah it was about the 5.4 and the 5.7 hemi, but thats not really fair is it. How can you compare the top of the line gasser for Dodge, against fords 5.4? Let compare the top of the line gasser for both, it's not my fault the Hemi isnt all its cracked up to be.

I think you misread my post. I was referring to the F-150 vs. Hemi thread, which was talking about the two V-8 engines from each manufacturer, not about the V-10. But for some reason the comment was made: "My V-10 will out torque you anyday, without breaking a sweat."
I found that amusing because it had nothing to do with the thread, and I thought I'd try to bring some of the amusement to this thread, but I guess it didn't work. My fault.

I'll agree with you on that, and now I understand why you posted what you did, you felt they should compare Ford's best gasser, which is the V-10 vs. Dogdes hemi. Makes sense.
And I'll whole heartedly agree that the Hemi isin't all it's cracked up to be, just a great marketing gimmick, and it's working well too.

You could do that too, with the same result.

That thread was to compare 1/2 ton trucks though, not just the engines.

This thread has gotten totally off topic. So to keep it that way here is my 2cents. What is with all the V10 bashing in here. Power Stroke & Triton V10 its all FORD and its ALL GOOD. I thought I was settleing for a V10 when I couldn't afford the Power Stroke, but I love my V10. It has done everything I wanted it to do.

Here is a good reason that some may not have thought of to buy a V10. I offroad at the Pismo dunes here in California. I wanted a vehicle that I could tow with and at the same time do serious off roading. The V10 is a perfect fit for what I do. My V10 doesnt mind being spun up to keep the momentum going up a large sand dune.

(See my gallery for pics at the dunes.)

Just remember that as long as its FORD its all good. Enjoy what ya got. I do
