The NV3500/ 3550 used for the swap is commonly found in 94 and later Dodge Ram 1/2 tons, 99 up? Dakota, and some Jeep TJ models beyond 97. I'm not sure if the GM versions will work for the swap due to input and output spline differences.
From what I can tell from the AA site, the 3500 kit is based off of the Dodge version, just like the NV4500. It uses a 1 1/8"- 10 spline input and 29 spline 4wd output.
