My FM 40 isn't loud on the inside at all. I don't have any droning noises or anything. It sounds great. I would recommend to everyone.

Now I just need to decide what kind of cold air intake I want....hmmm

I only wish mine had more of a *wooopaaawww* noise when i hit the gas at a stand still....it just doesnt have that bark that i want......i wonder if installing some headers would change this? cant really do anything else to the exahust besides what ive already done it to

haha i hear ya man....my g/f hates it when i run through the gears...she bangs her head on the back glass every throw haha i can bark 3rd gear!

Yeah, maybe I'll start working on some visual mods next. I've got the exhaust to grab their attention, but I've got nothing to keep them looking and fill with envy.

I've got 2 FM 40 series on my '66 (dual headers and 2 1/4" pipes) and I have no cab sound proofing in it (old trucks came without carpet, headliners, padding) and its not that load in the cab, but outside its MEAN. Turndown do help with the sound cause the sound wazes have the ground to bounce off of. Its all on how you want it to sound.

Sweet Chris. Do you have any pics of the turn downs on your truck (or anyone else)? I was thinking about getting one on mine, but haven't decided if it appeals to my eyes yet.
