MagnaFlow vs Flowmaster

MagnaFlow vs Flowmaster
Anyone have an opinion on this? I went to a muffler shop asking for a quote on the Flowmaster 40 since I heard this was a decent dual exhaust kit (I have an 04 F-150 5.4 FX4). I told him I wanted not much louder if at all than stock on idle, but I want to hear a nice sound with some gas.
Anyway, When I got the quote it had all Magnaflow stuff on it. He told me that would be better for what I wanted. He said the problem with MagnaFlow is that it is usually either too loud or too quiet for a person with my preference. He said the MagnaFlow would last longer since it is all stainless steel, and I would probably be happier with it. At any rate, it was expensive to get this done for Cat Back, pipes and muffler. The quote was $734 installed. More expensive than Flowmaster, but i don't hear as much talk about Magnaflow. When I looked at MagnaFlow's website their kits are all around $600, and Flowmaster's are all around $400-$500, not including the cat. At this point, I want to get it done, but the quote I got sounds high.

If you go to Magnaflow's website, go to the dealers drop down menu, then select buy online. It will list a good dozen or more authorized online dealers for Magnaflow. Most of the systems are just under 500 ($479 for the SI/DO exit before the rear tire, and I have an 05 4.6L Screw) from these websites.
Plus from what I understand from reading around on here, Magnaflow is the only cat-back that doesn't lose out on any of the low end after installation. That's my .02.
