Ground Hawgs Any Good?
#4
I have a set of 38" GH's on my truck so I can tell you a few things about them. They are loud but no louder than a TSL and quieter than a Bogger.
In my observations they seem to do at least as well as a TSL in pretty much all areas maybe a hair better in mud and way better in shallow snow (less than 2"). I had a set of TSL/SX's and they were horrible in snow unless it was at least 3" deep or so. They also seem to last longer. I am quite happy w/ mine. They are a great off road tire.

ground hawgs are a good investment if the money is avaliable i am currently running a set of 40/17/15's in the bias hawg i would recommend bias over the radial due to the bias wears alot better and lasts longer hell my 40's were hand-me-downs from a friend and my 78 is the 8th truck they have been under and they are still up and kicking. road wise yea they are noisey but what can you expect from a big luged directional tire. now in my opinion they are matched good by a bogger but the old tsl is still a step behind. hell i like them so much i found a set of the 44/18.5/15's that are damn near new for 800.00 so as soon as i get the 800.00 ill have some really big tires. but yes i would recommend hawgs as a good tire.

yeah i was thinking about getting 40s cause im pretty sure they will fit with 9 inches of lift but anything above 38" is bias.i wonder why evrything over 38" is bias anyway?..you think ill get some good life out of some 40" bias ground hawgs?..i put alot of road miles on so id like them to last.only thing im worried about is if the 40"s will rub when i turn?
