cookie, could not find the rebuild kit, the only thing that the stealship carried was the two oil-rings, and horsecop yes the IPR is controlled by the pcm, at idle and startup the pcm opens the IPR to around 15% and around 500psi and at full WOT will go to around 50% or around 2800-3000psi. if you are filmilar with gas engines it acts the same as a fuel pressure regulator for a gas injection system, just more psi for the psd.
pd, I checked my hoses today, after the starter crap. Called a local friend who makes up braided and hard lines. Told him about the problems you've had and the idea. He liked it. Wants me to bring the truck by next week to take a look and get some ideas.
o.k replaced MAP, still same problem but it's really starting to get weird. It seems that every time i start the engine it run's different, like some times it will miss and wan't to stall and does stall then it's a real pain to get it going again, then other times it will start and there won't be any power at all, if you give it gas it sounds like it's being choked of fuel and or air, then all of a sudden it will just kick right in and go, at just know on my way home it ran beautifull??? and still other times it's like there's know turbo and when i give it the SES light comes on then when i let go of the throttle it goes back out???? mabey something to do with the high press oil?? or mabey fuel?? or maby turbo???
any ideas please
PDVAN,
Did you ever find out what was causing your intermittent issue? I seem to have a similar issue with my 2000 PSD.
