So you've got a little hotter cam then? I suppose I could run it, but it would be guessing.
But as far as the guessing goes, here it is.
With a guess on the cam, I used the Crane 343941 as a reference, I came up with 363 hp at 5500 rpm, and 386 ft-lbs at 4500 rpm. Keep in mind, THIS IS A GUESS on the cam!
I'd say your hp and torque is somewhere between what I first said and this.
If you really want to win the race, buy some exhaust cutouts and some rear end gears.
I'm gonna change my recommendation based on the new cam information. I'm gonna say 4.11's.
Now go whoop up on a camaro!
Edit: Exhaust cutouts are kind of a cheap trick, so dont let him see you uncap 'em!

wait you saying a 941 in his 352 makes 363hp cause that sounds very bogus.
A 352 with a 941 cam and a 390 with a 941 cam should make the same horsepower power give or take. This is assuming all else is equal.
He had a friend riding with him and all he saw was ME laughing out the window as my $600 pickup was keeping up with his $24,000 factory hot rod...

That motor/tranny/gear combo in my '64 Galaxie went 15's. Same weight, just a bit more aerodymanic.

And BTW, a 100-150 HP Sniper NOS package can be had for $370.00 (just got the new Summitt catalog
)--Mike
If my memory serves right, there were no production line Camaros (exclude Yenko's and such here...) that have ever dipped below a high-14 run out of the showroom.

It depends on where you draw the date line..My 2002 SS runs low 13s, high 12s bone stock.
I think any 4th gen (I think that was 91 or 92) Z28 or SS will run low 14s. The last version with the LS1 V8 is just plain fast. I ran 13.85 the first time down the drag strip, this was my first pass in any car. It also get's 30 MPG on the highway. I love my Ford's, but keep this in mind when you guys start ******* the Cheby's.

A 5.7L ?
My MN12 t-bird/cougar 4.6L's get 25-26MPH and they are quite aerodynamic. That's 69 cubes smaller...
You sure you don't have a V6 in that thing?
That being said, Ford's generally suck for gas mileage.
Also, my car has a 6 speed and is obviously very aerodynamic. At 80 MPH it's humming at a peaceful 1800 RPM. I actually measured 33MPG on a short trip where I kept the tach under 2000RPM for the entire trip.
Anyway, my point was, don't assume all the Camaros are 15+ second cars.

I did some checking, and others are pushing near 30MPG in the same car, so I guess you're right!
Something my machinist said a while ago comes to mind when I was going to put a chip in my 4.6L t-bird, and he said I'd probably get BETTER milage with the chip - "Fords are on the rich side, so the chip will probably lean it out - Chevy's on the other hand, already run lean and a chip will usually go richer".
One side-note: the MN12's are very aerodynamic - they top-out at higher speeds than Mustangs given the same motor or close to it.
And now, I'm officially the WORST off-topic poster I've ever seen...
I'm not helping with the topic either..oh well. then again the topic is, "racing". That's pretty broad :-)
What's an MN12? The body style? I'm actually impressed that you get 25 with a Ford V8 product.
I have never understood why Ford's mileage is so poor Maybe you're onto something. Maybe they like to run rich, probably helps prolong the life of some hardware.
I just know I've owned 5 Ford Trucks. Almost none got 15 MPG or better. Including 300 I6 5spd 1/2 ton shortbed, 5.4 V8, 352, 360, 390 and the mongrul 446 :-) meanwhile my friends or family were getting 18+MPG in their 350 powered extended cab Chebys.
