I absolutely love my truck. There is nothing like being able to take the top off and have one of the most unique vehicles on the road. The color combination of black and tan 2-tone, a tan interior with black accents... i love it. The power of the 351, the versatility of the 4x4, the sheer size of the beast, the comfort, the sound, and the grin my girlfriend gets every time she climbs up into the truck. It looks great clean, and it looks even better dirty. What else could I possibly need in a truck?

Well Stated!
BTW, I forgot to mention earlier but mine is 4x4 also!
Wife had affair. Got rid of her, the tahoe, the cocker spaniel, and the 4 bedroom house for two people. Bought Bronco, now have, young girlfriend, golden retriever, condo, and 25ft cabin cruiser towed by bronco. Do chicks like Bronco's? Is a frogs a$$ watertight?
lol. At first I didn't want my Bronco. I had an 82 Wagoneer that I couldn't get into decent enough running order to pass inspection. I loved my Wagoneer... But eventually it just wasn't looking good... and a friend of a friend had a 90 Bronco for sale... I said "no way" I wanted a Morris Minor (awesome car, was one in the area for $2,750!) That thing got 50mpg, there was no telling what the bronco would get (looked it up online, the oldest I could find was a 92, and that showed 12mpg new). But it was $1500... and it did drive well. Actually drove a LOT like my Wagoneer... That was the first reason I liked it.
Then came spring. There went the top. And girls were litterally yelling at me (3 or 4 in one day, stuff like "My friend likes you!" from the convertable mustang next to me). That was my selling point. With the top on... it's functional, but about as cool as a station wagon. Take the top off and you're driving the most badass thing on 4 wheels.
What do you drive and why do you drive it? What was the first thing you remember that made you have to get behind the wheel of a Bronco?
My parents had a '78...in '78 and loved it. Then got an '87 which I drove in high school. I gave up my '98 Jeep Wrangler 4.0 with 31" tires, 4" Tereflex suspension and many other kool stuff for an '82 Bronco XLT Lariat (351W 5.8L). There is nuthin' like it and and totally fun to drive.
Grew up offroading Ford trucks, first one was a new '78 F250. after twenty years decided that I needed something shorter, but there's no way I'm drivin' a jeep. Perfect answer? BRONCO! Still fullsize but not as long as a truck.
I had an '83 F250 for 3 years, then an '88 F150 SuperCab for 3 years. Went 2 years without a truck, then in late '97, I went shopping. I wanted the braun of the F250 with the roominess of the F150 SC, so my '93 Bronco was the obvious choice. It was a great choice.
In the years since, my Bronco has moved with me and my career. From AZ to CA for school, then (for the job) to TX, WV, and OH. After OH, she towed a fully-laden Uhaul 6x12 (at 45mph, of course) back to Phoenix without a problem. Wasn't until last year that she started acting up, so an '03 F150 SuperCrew joined the fray. Now I want to sell the F150.
I just cannot get rid of the Bronco. In fact, I want another one.
I've never had a 4 wheel drive until about 4 years ago when my wife bought a all wheel drive Explorer after seeing how a 4wd. would pull in the snow I was hooked. My truck wasn't working out when we would go boating 4 people in the front seat was too tight. It was hard giving up an 8ft. bed, but I've always wanted a Bronco but never went looking to buy one. I've always liked two doors, with the Bronco the kids would have a full size back seat, it would pull the boat, also a car trailer. I love owning the Bronco the Explorer has gone down the road for a Mach 1 Mustang. The wife told me I should keep the Explorer and sell the Bronco which did make since the Explorer was under warranty and with only 60,000 miles on it. It took me about two minutes to decide the Bronco wasn't going anywhere I like full size. After a year and a half of driving it I haven't seen anything else I would want to drive. Long live the Bronco. Also my wife doesn't like driving it. But she drives it when she has to go to work when it's snowing.
man, i love my bronco. previous to this i had a 86 F150 that was in horrible condition(used to be my dad's work truck), had fluid leaks everywhere, engine was dying, 4x4 was completly trashed, various dings and dents everywhere, brakes were going out, this thing was actually referred to as "the flying brick" because of the brake troubles (yea, it was red). with all the problems with this thing it was just easier to donate the truck and go shopping. after exploring a few local dealerships and seeing several nice trucks, i was brought around to my 93 bronco xlt. even on this cold, overcast november day the white bronco shimmered through the horrible weather of that day. as soon as i got in for a test drive i was hooked, and bought it. it was a bit pricey (about 7k) but it was well worth it in my opinion. goes damn fast, i love the accelleration and speed i get out of this thing for as big as it is. very little has gone wrong with it, goes anywhere i want, and is a great truck all around. everybody loves it, and i love scaring people in small cars (imports and such) when i take off at stop lights and such. i never want to get rid of my bronco, and hope to get another if this one ever gives out and dies. long live the bronco!
i gots me an 84 umm 351w gt40p heads awsome power little under 1000 miles. 6 inch lift 33's soon to be 35's and as of now its gettin all new paint and soon to be rust free
completely stock 96 5.8 xlt, very green and clean. Got it last year for 7000 with 80k miles. It is easier to park than my 97 olds 88, but the ride is a bit more rough. havent had to repair anything---yet. I use it to pull 18.5 ft camp trailer and 12 ft atv (3 place) trailer. I pull them in tandem (at the same time). Sound scarey?? I havent tandem pulled over 60 mph and it handles as good as I can expect with short wheel base. Dont like to get too agressive with 4x4 roads and trails. A guy can get quite a bit of mountian pinstriping around here and the paint just looks too good right now. In a few years I will prob paint it with colored bed liner, then I wont have to worry about scraches.
Love the look and the POWER. Brother-in-law got one a few years ago and I just had to get one myself after driving his. Oh yes, and I just love feeding her--get around 300 miles out of a tank, less when towing.
Man, there are lots of folks that love Broncos!! I remember seeing my first Bronco in Bend, Oregon about 1977, before the word SUV had been coined. My wife and I loved it and bought one new in 1981. I still have "Big Red" as I've come to call her. I bought her with a 351M and she now has a 427 side-oiler. The truck 4 speed is gone and she now sports a C6. The original NP 208 gave up its ghost and has been replaced with an NP 205. The IFS is gone and replaced with straight axle Dana 44 resurrected from a 3/4 ton. The Bronco nine inch rear end is retired and it's now pushed by a 3/4 ton Dana 60. The suspension has been replaced as often as underwear. First stock, then a 2.5 inch lift. Then came the 4 inch lift, followed by the 6 incher. At last, a friend and I welded and pounded on her underside for months and she now has a home made 6 inch suspension lift with leaf springs in front donated by a Chebbie. The list goes on and on ... but she's not an SUV! She's a Bronco!! And she's mine. And, did I mention the seats?? They're the most comfortable in the world. In spite of the fact that I love driving her, she has been squirrelly on me and swapped the rear end for the front while going down the snowy highway at 60 mph (in 2WD before I learned to keep the hubs locked in). And, it's not an SUV ... Allstate says it will not ever be classified as an SUV. I hope so ... I hate SUV's, but I love trucks and Broncos. Especially Broncos.
