Why do you drive a Bronco?

'95 EB Full size with a 5.8, auto, manual hubs, stick shift 4X. Have always liked them but was not good for us as main family vehicle. Forgot about them for a while. Had several other 4X4's as the second vehicle and all were fun. Then we got a '01 F150 4X4 (Family "car")and I no longer had back pain (two herniated discs from the USAF) when going anywhere due to the good seating position. Decided that "my" next would be either a truck or a Bronco. Found this Bronco first and will not let it go. My wife loves how easy it is to park and it is a toss up for her on what she likes best to drive. Need some changes like pipes and such and then .......who knows.

Not that it ever stranded me, but with the odo. up north of 200K the thought was always there. So, I looked and looked...I was really after a 2 door Tahoe, but they were pretty hard to come by, harder still to find at a reasonable price. Then I stumbled across this "cream-puff" Bronco for a pretty good deal. I had never really subscribed to the Ford vs. Chevy crap, so I ponied up my money and took possession of the beast.
It ran great right up until the week after the dealer warranty ran out...then the cruise control quit working...followed by the rear tail gate window, alternator, fuel pump, serpentine belt tensioner (left me stranded), transmission (left me stranded) , transfer case, transfer case motor, front hubs, radiator, plug wires, rear end bearings& axle seals, fuel pressure regulator, fan clutch, heater motor, head gasket, speed sensor, transfer case motor (again), power steering pump, dome light, oxygen sensor, radius arm bushings, muffler & tailpipe...and the list continues. Luckily now with 10" of snow on the ground, the transfer case motor has quit again, but at least it's IN four wheel drive. After all this I can't wait to see what the next 40,000 miles has in store!

Always loved the full size Bronco. Finally had the funds and need to get one. GF found the Nite on Autotrader. Tows my boat without missing a beat and I cheer when it snows. My other car is a 97
Cobra. Don't get me wrong...it's a great car but I can never wait to get back in the Bronco. Lots of room is so key.

Hey everybody: Bought my first Bronco, an 87EB in 1990. Always wanted something for hunting and fishing to take me places that nobody else could get to. Kept it until I took a job as a building inspector, which requires alot of driving. As the 87 had almost 250K on it figured I should get something a little newer with less miles on it. Saw this 96XLT in 2002 and just had to have it. Had 58K when I bought it and has 107K on it now. Rarely skips a beat. I'm just upset they don't build them anymore. I will probably keep this one till the wheels go square. That should be a long time because God knows there tough to kill.

I also always wanted one. Still never have forgiven my parents for not letting me by the 69 bronco with 30k original miles when I was 16 but life moves on. When I finally finished school and actually had the money for one, the wife said no way. So I got rid of the wife. Now I have a 95 in the driveway and could not be happier. More than anything I love the room. Perfect set up for a big guy.
