PCM Module
I need real help. I have a error message that is saying "Power Train Control Module keep Alive Memory (KAM) Error.
Does anyone have a clue what I have here????????
The truck is a 2001 7.3 PSD Dually with 138,000 miles on it. Has one like a champ until two weeks ago. Now real hard to start. Like one cylinder firing up and then the next one. Once it is started runs fine.
Any help from you guys would be aprreciated.
20001 7.3 Dually beast (now with gag!)

I'm not sure exactly what it means, but I've got something you can try to fix it. I wouldn't suggest this until you have the codes read, but since you already do, here goes:
Disconnect the batteries for a few minutes, and while they're disconnected, turn on the headlights to drain any residual power in the truck. Reconnect the batteries, and you will have erased all the stored data, and possibly cleared the problem. (Feel free to turn the lights off now, too.)
By disconnecting the batteries, you will have reset the pcm, and the truck could run OK again. Of course, that doesn't solve the problem of what triggered the code in the first place, but if it was a fluke, you could be good to go.

A lot of times this code can be set because the batteries were disconnected. It's usually nothing to worry about. I'd be more inclined to think you have a failed glow plug relay.
