SMOG check Fail. Please help identify these error codes.
I live in California and I'm trying to sell my Ford F250 7.3L which requires a smog check.
I just failed on account of these three error codes:
P0683
P0670
p1670
I recently had my glow plug relay and glow plug module replaced so I don't know why I'm getting these error codes.
Does any one have any experience with this so I can figure this out?
Thanks.

Double check both plugs on the GPCM. There is a green one and a black one. You do not have a Glow Plug relay so there wasn't one to replace

Thanks for the codes. I just replace my GPCM last week. Now that I think about it, the smog technician did mention that it's a pending error code. I wonder if it's because it takes time to clear out. Maybe I need to drive it a little more.

Have you got a way to clear them? If you do, clear them and drive it for a while and see if they come back.
I wonder if the P1670 has anything to do with the truck hard starting lately. I charged my batteries overnight which helped but it doesn't seem to solve the problem. I'll have to look into that code a little more. I'm hoping that if I drive the truck a little more this weekend the other codes might go away. I've heard about drive sequences helping with this. Does anyone know how to do this?

My mechanic cleared them when he installed the new GPCM and the check engine light went out and hasn't come back on since. I'm not sure why I'm getting the pending error codes now.
I'm not sure either but he said he wasn't able to smog it because as soon as he hooked up the computer the truck shut off.
That could be caused by the VIN decifer routine. When I connect to AE, I have to manually input the year and engine type. If I try and let AE figure it out by decoding the VIN then the engine will shut off. Only happens on diesels...gas engines work everytime.
