trouble codes

Hi all,

I tried doing a search for "codes" and I got no hits.

so obviously I have codes that popped up.

I have a 99 f350 7.3 c/c dually, 6613 mod and Evo Tuner, Full gauge pkg.

P1119

P0603 (internal Control Module-Keep Alive Memory Error)

I did clear the codes but I'm pretty sure they'll come back

What are these and should I be concerned?

thanks in advance

Here's another link to codes since I'm slower than Rick. Welcome to guzzle's Diagnostic Trouble Code list Web Page

The 603 is common, and I would assume the 1119 is related to the tuner also.

DI1 DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) P1119
DTC P1119 indicates that the MAT sensor circuit was out of range high.
Possible causes:
open in harness
damaged connection
damaged MAT sensor
damaged PCM

Hey Chris,

could that P1119 code be from my Evo Tuner?
or could it be that I did the 6613 mod and just have that sensor out in the open, but out of the way.

I could figure a way to reinstall it if I need to.

do you think that code, or the cause could affect anything serious?

thanks

John, I think you mean the 6637 mod. Did you take the whole sensor out of the old box. Or did you just unplug it. Most people just zip tie it to one of the lines under the brake bowl.

The sensor by the filter is the IAT so that's not the same one. Did you unplug the MAT during the 6637 install for some reason? If it's unplugged it will set a high code.

This sensor is gives readings to the PCM to adjust fuel and timing so it makes sense that your tuner would cause the code to show up.

If it's still plugged in and you don't have a short, then it's probably your tuner throwing the code. Can you clear the code, set it to stock and go for a test drive to see if it shows back up?

Hey Chris

I'm guessing that diagram is the "spyder" if it is, I cannot find that sensor anywhere.

my chiltons manual lists the trouble code for that sensor. but that's it, no other reference. I will have to go back to stock setting for a ride.

but only one ride, because stock sucks!!! lol

if anyone else reads this, do you have a pic of the
manifold air temp sensor?

thanks

Yes that is the spider. There should be 3 sensors plugged into it. MAP is the one with hoses attached. The IAH is the bolt looking thing to the left of the MAP (looking from in front of truck. Neither of those are in the diagram above. Look for a 3rd sensor down lower than those 2.

Sorry I don't have a pic. I left my camera at work.
