Well I keep adding projects one after another. I have a tub of Trumpet Horns that I am going to use for my 52.
There is seven Horns with two sets of matching Dual Hi-Lo Trumpets. These Trumpets may have went to trucks or cars.
Wondering is the Hi - Lo tone range is how the armature is set or about the length of the trumpet?
I kind of disassembled most of the trumpets without thinking about the Hi - Lo tone.
Now I have an assortment of Armatures to choose from, and I need to know how to select them for Hi - Lo tone. Will have to verify if the Armature even works. My 52 went through a flood (March 1997) and I started to work on the Horn about five years later. The inside still had wet mud that I poured out then cleaned it up. It still sounded out when I put it back together. Built Ford Tough.
I'm planning on doing a Five Star Deluxe I have nearly all Five Star items except for hood trim. Planning on ghosting it on the hood. Now just need to pick the Horn Trumpets to use. Have only mounting Bracket for passenger side. Will need to create the one for the driver's side.
Have started to gather the truck parts that I am not using for sale or give away later.
Then by what you sent the 13833-C should only be 18.63". But the long horn that was on my truck is nearly 20" long though. Will go through the other horns and check.
Found a matching shorter horn. As you can see, I'm missing the other mounting brackets. Will have to Fab one up.
Looked on the FORD TRUCK PARTS Illustration pg. 339 Section 145, it shows the forward bracket as p/n13820. Doesn't show any other horn brackets. It may be the complete assembly number for all the brackets. Doesn't list any screws on that list. But if you go to the FORD TRUCK PARTS Text pg. 716 Section 134, it lists a Universal Type bracket B9A-13830-A. The 13820 brackets can be universal, but the L-shape bracket will need to be mirrored. Can't be Universal because it needs a mirrored bracket. It also list the screws needed. These are two carriage bolts but need another carriage and slotted bolt for 13820.
You at referring to the 1964 printing of the catalog which is over a decade away from production and relied on the (then) current inventory practices. It is not very helpful in cases like this.
I think this is what you are after:
Projector support:
1C-13820 for use with any of the 6 horn options.
Hardware:
23356-S7 1/4"-20 x 9/16" bolt

Horn Spacers, Does anyone have a good photo of one?

Is it a square piece of metal or a piece bent to fill the space?
These are not pictured on any truck parts catalog that I can find, but I was able to find them in another application (ignore everything else as they are different):
13827 is a group number denotes a spacer, but not a specific spacer. You need the full part number to get the specifics. Same goes for what I think you meant to be 13830, which is NOT a spacer, but a projector bracket. I've shared a whole outline above: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post21703082
Here are some pictures from my RH (Passenger side) horn installation:

Now on to the next project.
Also when I went to the KY Auto Swap meet last week, I found both dual Horns for $20 bucks. Now I have an extra set.
