Nothing to report here except the skies are overcast and it is colder than it has been in weeks.
Sunday Roast. On Saturday. It seemed like a good idea. Safeway had a front quarter of lamb. The shoulder, arm, and ribs section. I usually don't think of Safeway as a place where lamb is sold. But there it was. So it became an "impulse buy". I was going to cook it on Sunday. But I just couldn't wait. Slow roasted until tender. The meat slid right off the bones. I'll make a lamb stock with the bones. I wonder why we, as Americans, don't eat more lamb.

Maybe because most people don't know how to cook it....
We went on the annual "Shelby Spin" put on by The Cobra Experience in Martinez. It's my favorite car driving event of the year. On Saturday we rolled out and went up Suisun Valley Rd and by Lake Berryessa on our way to Downieville. We had a nice dinner along the river and a few too many Sierra's at the local saloon. Sunday morning I was tasked with leading the pack. For the first 25 miles there was not a car in front of us. The asphalt was perfect, the weather was perfect, the group was perfect. Notable cars on the trip included Drew's '66 Big Block Cobra, a '68 GT350 Paxton Supercharged convertible, a '67 GT500, a '68 GT350, a '06 FGT, and a '13 Super Snake.
I've heard they're too annoying to eat with all the bones, and these aren't big enough to have useful skins. I repurpose them by flinging them over the fence and letting the critters eat them.
