Stage 2 with one custom program. However, normally a custom program is 94.00, but you'll be replacing the regular performance program with the custom tune, so he may only charge you a few bucks for the difference.

You really need to be talking to Ken about this though, I mean, if you want a real definate answer as apposed to second guessing. Call him after 3pm eastern time and he will answer the phone and talk with you.

I have 3 tunes on my chip. One stock, one regular high performance tune, and one nitrous tune. I simply flip the switch between the normal HP tune and the nitrous tune right before I hit the nitrous switch.

The only difference between you and me (when install is done) is the SC is all-time. I cant just unhook the belt and flip the switch at the stop light if someone revs up their engine Hehe. For NOS, that is the ultimate setup. It would be like you having 2 stock programs and a NOS. If the stock cant recognize your mods, what good does it do to have it in that position, unless you are at the strip.

I am wondering though...If it is a 2 stage, stock and custom, if the SC is made for a stock truck, Normally I would be fine. But because I have headers and all that, I HAVE to have a custom chip. I couldnt resort to the stock setting without either killing my gas mileage, or potentially hurting the truck, right?

Im so confused right now. LoL.

Garrett

Dude, you are SOOOO confused, your making ME confused!!

Stop it!

The stock tune is just that...Stock. It's NOT a tune. It's just a position on the switch that allows you to turn the chip off in case you take your truck to the dealer or in case your out of gas and can only find 87 octane. That's all it is. It's a nothing, nada, complete zero. It just turns the chip off.

Capice??

(that's italian for, understand?)

I know what Capiche is, my gf's family is Sicilian And I get it...but what info I have already said, if I turn to stock, I should be fine, right? Cause the SC is made for a stock truck.....So I would be ok.....So I need to talk to Derek, ask him if it is cool to do so, then ask Ken if he can make that happen.....LoL.

I think I am no longer confused. Plan: Call Derek, ask questions. Call Ken, have other questions answered; get Pricing.

Thanks Tom,

Garrett

Well, if your going to buy the diablo chip and leave it on STOCK all the time then why waste your money. That's what I said before that I don't think you need the chip for the SC. Wait until you get the SC installed first.

Tom

Oh, and I too am Sicilian. Speaking of italian, I just got done scarfing 4 huge slices of pizza....ugh, i had to loosen my belt a notch just now.

I feel sick.

I kicked my bottle of NOS last night boosting other trucks while headed out to the restaurant to meet some friends. Killed every one!!! Fun stuff.

I got my chip back with the new tune, and I am now satisfied. Without going into another big spill about it, I want you to take a look at my Diablo Report (2) in the chips forum. I is a happy guy!

I also got my 40 series Flowmaster today! WOOT! I got it installed at the local muffler shop and had it turned down about 1 foot after the muffler. I likes it!

I'll be ordering my MAC Intake at the very latest Monday. I so excited I pee pee in my pants!
