Downloaded the really helpful tremec angle finder app and thinking I'll go 2.5 - 3 degrees on pinion and trans spline. There obviously will be some horizontal angle due to offset pinion but I read that isn't a problem. Looking like the intake/carb

is gonna be pretty close to level. My trans support has been modified by previous owner and looks like I will need a around 2-3" spacer between support and mounting foot of trans tailpiece. Any ideas of what i should use for spacer? Does this all sound ok? 1st time down this road for me. Thank you for advice!
Why do you have the frame bracket all the way at the top of the frame rail? The positioning of that bracket in the frame rail can be used to adjust driveline angle of the engine/trans.
For my combo, the frame brackets worked best mounted toward the center of the frame rail.

Bobbyford...
Very interesting set up you have there and much beefier. Very impressive workmanship and definitely an option for me. Thanks for posting.

The reason for mounting bracket on upper end of rail is because clutch z bar lines up at proper elevation this way. That's another concern.... exhaust, clutch linkage and shifter linkage is all crammed up tight but i think it will work out ok. Another reason to mount it this way is to have the option of drilling horizontal top rail and having two more bolts to secure bracket. Think that is a good idea?

Extra bolts isn't a bad idea. I wonder if there is a hydraulic master and slave cylinder available for your setup that could eliminate the mechanical clutch linkage...

Well there is an interesting idea. Found a utube which describes this process on a 63. Surprisingly... they even make a hydraulic clutch kit for a 63. Never realized this was an option but very comforting in case I run out of room down there. Thanks much
