Rob from the City, You could put the used oil back in original containers, clean them up real nice put em in a box in the back of your truck, park in front of the local shopping mall, go stand inside the front doors and watch the crooks steal the used oil.
We got our first rain. Nothing, really. Just enough to get the sidewalk wet. I decided to oil another pair of shoes. Something that I will wear regularly. It really will need protection from the weather. The politics on TV are nothing; compared to what I get in real life.
The X hates that I have South African shoes. A shoe company built during apartheid. They made their money off the backs of oppressed people. A country where even though the laws defines a wage standard, many businesses simply don't follow the law. There's a minimum wage, and they don't pay it. They simply hire people, and tell them, "this is what we pay". Oftentimes, workers are paid about 60% of what the government says is the minimum wage. Even though apartheid is officially ended as a political policy, daily life is still very much based upon skin tone. Lighter skin people who are a minority, control the wealth. Darker skin people are the ones who work at subminimum wage, at businesses owned by people with lighter skin.
I have to remind her that the entire world is "unfair". She might as well throw her iPhone out, because of the working conditions at the Apple factories in China. By buying a consumer product manufactured there, I'm supporting their quality of life. It's putting food on the table. Would she feel better about it if the factories in South Africa were shut down? Then the poor people wouldn't have any jobs at all. And that more or less goes for everything I buy. Wherever it's made in the world, the factory is supplying jobs. Which is better than no job at all.

We got just under 2/10" up in the mountains last night.
this morning showed 3/10” here in the North Valley
In all the weird weather, my plum tree has flowers. October Flowers. How? Plums don't flower until well into February or maybe March. There's supposed to be a period of chill to activate the buds on the wood.
No flowers on the plum tree here. We also got a little rain last night .03 of an inch. Not much but there is no dust in the driveway today. They say we are going to get more starting tonight through tomorrow, I'll believe it when I see it.
Cherry Blossom Festival is in April. Most fruit trees are flowering by that time of Spring. My only guess is that the tree has Autumn confused for Spring.
This is what I need. A bunch of people who will give me a portion of their paychecks, then do whatever I say. Willing to risk their lives by sitting down on Cable Car tracks. Then go to jail for me.
