We've been lucky in my neighborhood for the past few years, but yesterday I got paged to a fire only a few doors down from me. It was good training to run a hose reel for 45 minutes while the FireHawk did the heavy lifting.
I got the COVID shot again. Perhaps my memory is faulty. But I think the needle is smaller. Was it a larger needle in the past?
Yah. I dunno. Both my SO and I got both the flu and COVID shots at the same time (flu in the left, COVID in the right). Neither one of us felt a darn thing. Didn't get sore arms. Didn't get sick. Maybe they're just injecting plain saline?

You're right. We're only getting a placebo drug. I didn't get any side effects either. So swollen testes. Nothing.
The shot lady gave me both shots in the left. I got side by side adhesive bandages. I thought that the scientist had a formulation where you got both Flu & Covid together. So that you only need to get one shot. When I asked, she said, "two in the same hole, I wish".
No shots for me, but my next VA appointment I am sure they will ask me if I want to get the shots. I will get them as I have never had any problems with them except the very first one which only made my arm sore for a day or two.
Loving this cooler weather. Truck is in the shop and should be done by Monday. The scooter was fixed with a used wheel for now until the new ones come in. Then they will give me four brand new wheels and let me keep the four used ones (three of which are only a couple of months old) so if one starts going flat in the future, they can replace it with one of the used ones I have.
Today must be first responder day. Since my truck is in the shop, I took my scooter to the bank to deposit a check. As I was leaving, I could see two sets of flashing red lights half a mile away. Looked like a fire truck and ambulance, but it was too far to confirm. As I got to that intersection, I heard more sirens, so I stopped the scooter on the sidewalk and turned to look. Two more fire trucks, and an ambulance came by, then, before I could get to the next block a fire captain in a Ford HD pickup came flying by. As he turned into the neighborhood, I saw another firetruck, and ambulance head to the same neighborhood. No Police, just fire and ambulances. I saw no smoke anywhere, so I have no clue what all the hub bub was about. Then on the way back I drive by the shop where my truck is, and there are two Police SUV's and an ambulance at the intersection. That was a crash of two Honda Accords it looked like. The Police where there waiting for the tow trucks to show up. Nobody was in either car when I got there but the ambulance did leave while I was approaching. did not use his/her siren, so I guess whoever was inside was not hurt too badly.
My truck was in the same position it was on Thursday, and the owner was not there, so I will just wait until Monday to check again. I told him Thursday that I would be by on Monday.
Hanklin, What is the 2001 7.3l F-444(Monkey Wrench Racing) truck? I'm assuming it's a truck.
Jim, I hope they get your truck back to you on Monday.
Tim
