Not so hot over here. Daytimes highs running about 70-75, which is fine by me (although I bet it's above what 5150 likes). We went to a neighborhood emergency preparedness event yesterday ay the Skyline Ridge OSP. Saw lots of our neighbors and got a lot of good information from the sheriff's office, CalFire, and other community groups.
Wow. A 37 year old ICU nurse just ruined her life by speeding through a redlight and killing 6 people. And it turns out, she has been involved in13 prior accidents. How do you keep your license after that? Of course, they don't state if she was at fault in any of them, so who knows? Still, it doesn't look like she wll be getting out of jail/prison anytime soon. I wonder if her Mercedes was paid off? She won't be making any more payments to them, or rent/mortgage payments either. Of course all this is a minor point compared to all the lives she has shattered due to her latest accident. Not only ending the lives of those 6 people, but their relative's and friend's lives as well.
I doubt that she had a valid drivers license. I would also suspect that she had some sort of substance abuse problem. It happens. High stress job, with access to meds. Travel nurse. Employers discretely end her contract to avoid more problems, and she moves on to the next job without anyone finding out. All speculation on my part. Although I have seen it happen that way.
She was really worried to be cast as a teenager at her age. I'd say she pulled it off admirably.
I don't think there was one real teenager casted for Grease. They all looked like they were adults. Sort of like television series 90210. 30 year olds with receding hairlines, casted as high school kids.
I agree regarding Grease. I think all the cast members were over their teenage years. As for the ICU nurse, I feel sorry for her, but there is no denying she ruined her life, (and many others) and will now spend the rest of it regretting it.
I sent Archer to camp on Monday. Well, technically it's "Doggie Daycare" and I certainly got my monies worth. The goal was to give him some exercise while I was at work. Typically I need to play HARD with him for 3 to 4 hours each night or he is a total A-Hole and will bark at me up through bedtime. When he plays for 3 or 4 hours, his GPS collar records about 40 to 50k steps, and he'll generally go to sleep in the evenings without too much fuss. On Monday he got 113k steps! He came right home and crashed hard. It's now 40 hours later and he alternates between sleeping and licking his chapped paws. Mission Accomplished.
