Today, I buy whatever I can find the best price on. I got the tires for $160 each from Amazon. Are they the best tires that I can get? Probably not. But the price was right.
We used to get Goodyear all the time. Almost by default. In fact, our 2015 came with Goodyear Wranglers. They were OK tires; nothing to complain about. When it came time to replace, we replaced them with Michelin. Probably a better tire, but I have no specifics.
On our little "town car", we have Yokohamas. These seem to be excellent tires. That little car goes around like it's on rails. Especially like them going up and down the mountain.
I bought a set of Falken tires for the Dodge Stratus back before I got the F150. The truck doesn't need tires right this minute, but when it does, I plan on buying Hankook. Not because I think they are better, but for now, they are the cheapest in the size the truck needs.
Hankook. Not because I think they are better, but for now, they are the cheapest in the size the truck needs.
Hankook was the OEM tire. Your truck left the factory with Hankook. 11th generation F-150 got Hankook because of the lawsuit between Ford and Firestone.
Michelins for the win , my truck rides really smooth with them , plus my last set got me 80 thousand +, I’m finding that all these gravel roads with riff raft rock is chewing them down a little, Faulkn tire was the worse I’ve had for a truck tire , copper use to be good in the day but has fallen below grade , same with General tire , although General has out lasted Michelin because of the heavy ply truck tire , BF good years I’ve had terrible wear plus I’m tired of spending hard earned money for a name .
My buddy just put Toyos on his truck , he don’t pull heavy or off road so I can’t compare to other tire manufacturers
Rather than calling me retarded, why don't don't you point out what was factually incorrect about my statement(s)?
It apparently was not fruitless, as it drew you out to name call.
this platform is not Facebook and talking politics, it’s is however a all topic discussion mostly Ford related ,
Was the topic directed to you personally (no), rather directly to (those ) whom compare Elon to illegal aliens.
don’t take offense to something that was not directly worded to you
There's always one oddball project after another. Holiday parties are right around the corner. A good time to oil my shoes. Now I will be ready for spilled drinks and dirty bathrooms.
Hankook it is then. Can't afford BFG or Goodyear. Had no problems with the Falken tires, but of course, those were car tires on a small Stratus, not AT tires on a 5000+ 4x4 truck, so I can't honestly compare the two.
When you are just city driving, like me, almost any tire will do.
When the truck was new, I got rid of the Hankook. I didn't know better. I got Goodyear. That first winter, the Goodyear hydroplaned. My truck spun out. It could have been my fault. It was raining, I was driving on steel street car tracks, and I was going fast. Luckily I knew to take my foot off the accelerator pedal, not step on the brakes, and counter steer.
