I originally used the word block for a lack of a better one, but when it comes down to it what is the spring seat besides a lift block with a radius cut in the top? Anyway like I said, once the hundred and a half comes through for a rebuild kit I oughta be rolling. Hopefully it'll be done before the first of the year

oK guys....lets not start throwin around remarks that we might regret later.....Now...yes coils spacers will work, although i don't know that i'd use them on top of the spring. But finding a longer stud should show to be interesting, i had a hard time finding any different studs when i did my sas.

I just swapped my 81 to the TTB, and, I test fitted the 2wd spring seat on a 4x4 beam, and IIRC, there would still have been acceptable stud engagement with the existing one, I didn't do it though, as I had considerable problems getting the camber even close to fixable with an alignment...
If I think of it, my 2wd front end and a section of 4x4 beam(with the spring pad on it) are sitting in the bed of my F250...

MustangGT221: I just converted my 81, I had a heck of a time getting the nose of the truck to come down to level it with the stock 2wd rear springs with the factory 4x4 2" blocks, I ended up torching the springs(I don't have a transfer case installed yet tho, I'll probably have to swap 'em.) The 2wd axle beams are considerably shorter than the 4wd ones... I guess I'll have to get out the digicam being I have all the parts sitting in the bed of my truck...

This was the 2wd rideheight, with 275/60R15's:

This is with the 275's before I torched the springs(rear blocks are installed):

And, this is with 31's and torched springs:

It sits about 2" taller than my buddy's stock 96 F150 reg cab short bed 4x4 on 235's
