Do you think it is ok to stack leaf spring lift blocks? (I voted no.)
Basically, your truck already has a stock 2" block between the leaf spring and (rear) axle. You are wanting it to be lifted 2" taller than it already is. Would you add another 2" block to the current 2" block to equal 4" or would you swap out the current 2" block for a 4" block?

when I first had my 2K4 SD lifted, they put in 6 inch blocks on top of the stock spacers, I told them I wanted all spring lift but they misundrestood me for some reason and put the blocks in, they didnt last long, I got my springs in in less than 2 weeks and the ride was noticably better.
I would never recommend using blocks period for lifting a truck, I ve always gone with an all spring lift in the past, but some guys dont mind using blocks.
Blocks are not a bad thing i guess, but thats if you keep them small or factory but never stack them and if you have to weld them together so its one block.
The U-Joints will not be the only thing dying an untimely death. The slip yoke will wear prematurely due to the flex of the axle during acceleration and deceleration and will sometimes break due to binding caused by the lift.
