My mind isn't what it used to be, but I thought some years back someone found a Denso alternator that would work on our trucks...? I've never had one of those fail in the many cars/trucks I've owned that had them. Anyone recall this or should I just chalk it up to fading memory...?

On Edit: Nevermind! It was the 200A alternator off the 6.4s (and maybe later) which are PCM controlled and Won't work on our 6.0s...

This 140A unit, and a couple other smaller ones, are on the densoproducts.com web site when entering the 6.0L information in their search engine.

Curious if it's normal to see battery volts bounce around, like say between 13.75-13.93 when at speeds? I guess it's those HIGH output units that keep battery volts at a steady 14-14.2 yeah or is bouncing around rather normal for all alternators? Just never thought of it till now.

My voltages bounce around like that - I can see highs in the low 14s and particularly when the engine bay is hot, lows in the 13s, but yeah it's constantly changing. Mine is the factory original, optional High Output 140A with an overdrive pulley on it...
