Calling power window gurus
trouble shooting steps a little out of order but yes move the boot from dash side and looked no breaks we could see, same on moving the boot from the door side
Fuse is good too
checked power on the switch test light lights up
then pulled the connector from the motor in the door and plugged into the new motor on the regulator, no power on the new motor ...
I have a Haynes Repair Manual and a buddy is helping but we are stumped on what to do next
thanks
Rob
You need test leads or jumper wires to do that, even a test light will run a window up and down
Power the alligator clip end of a test light and while checking for ground at the switch the motor might move
That would mean the motor and reg are okay and you have a switch or wiring issue
Sounds like that is what you have
Now get a EVTM and do the master switch diagnosis (master switch is the drivers door switch)
You can sometimes figure out what's happening by examining the power and ground feeds to the other windows
That master switch takes the power and ground and switches them to each satellite motor
