I'll still go with the 10% rule I learned in Marine Corps Bootcamp, if there's 10 people in a room... one of them is an A-hole, if you have a hunnert "bikers" 10 of them are scooter riders btw DPelletier, your picture made me lol!
Sucks you had to deal with that Ltngdrvr... it's easy to sit back and keyboard cowboy what anyone of us might've done so I'll refrain from that, as a lot of factors go in to our handling of situations at that moment.
Personally, I've run the gamut from WTF ever and letting it pass, to chasing the dumba$$es down... seems sad that the idiots appear to be reproducing at a greater rate than considerate folk. Or, IMO, the idiots never got the a$$ whoopin they needed back when to not become bigger idiots now because they haven't had to face consequences for their actions...
No, the road rage in this case started when the guy was riding my bumper with his ultra bright LED lights shining in my mirror, and I hadn't even laid eyes on him before that moment, and then when he flew around me and hit my mirror on purpose, that was all on him, not me.
I found the replacement glass assembly, the mirror glass and the backer that mounts to the mirror adjustment motor, and it has the harness attached, cost was $140 on ebay, and ordering on the app got me $5 off.
Supposed to be here either friday or monday, coming from the ford dealer in amarillo.
Local dealer wanted list price, this place was almost $70 off list and free freight.
To get him to pay for the damage, maybe having him realize he actually broke the mirror and hadn't just knocked it back.
But, all I got was his license plate number for the police report.
And, yes, I was pissed and wanted to let him know in no uncertain terms.
But, I came to my senses and stopped before it got completely out of hand.
I had a rager incident a week or so ago. Guy in a ram pulled out ahead of me on a 55 highway, got up to speed for about a mile but was in and out of the left lane, and shoulder and then slowed down. I went to pass him since he was doing 45 by then, and the SOB floored it. Well a Hemi can hold water against a 3.5 Ecoboost and I had no problem getting around him, but then he was right on my bumper doing 80. I wanted nothing to do with this idiot and he then decided to pass. I was done at that point and just dropped hammer and left him back 2-3 car lengths, but I think his hemi then went broke because he slowed and pulled over onto the shoulder. I eventually got back down to my 62 MPH cruise and didn't see him again.
Dude was high on something to pull that crap.
I also have front/rear dash cam for incidents like this.

I find that I am more of a pacifist since I carry concealed . Only if I were backed into a corner would I not back off, Otherwise life is too short to get pissed enough to do harm. Here in Florida anyone can now carry concealed even without a permit so you never know. The last time I exchanged gunfire was in 1968 with my M16. .
When i was a teenager I once brake checked a guy that was annoying me. He pulled up next to me and he was a cop. Boy was I embarrassed. That memory is still burned in my brain 60 years later.
