Typical 'tough guy biker' bull. Most of them are nice and respectful, these guys are obviously some of the idiots that give the rest bad names.
We get 'em all over the place, riding like idiots, weaving through traffic (even on full dressers, not just the crotch rockets), had a couple pass me on the shoulder one time. They watched a bit too much Mad Max back in the day and think as bikers they own the road.
Of course, up here the popo don't do anything about...well, anything, so they get away with it all the time.
Guys like that have nothing to loose and don't value their own life...or they wouldn't be tailgating and riding close enough to knock out a mirror. Main goal for everyone else is to not join them when they receive their Darwin award. Hopefully they run into one of their kind so they can claim their Darwin award together. .
As to the gun carry, it is legal to carry it in the commercial truck, but has to be unloaded and locked away, so you aren't going to just grab it and draw down on someone accosting you. Plus, as this article says, so many independent gun laws around the country that carrying can get you in trouble in one place but not another, best bet for someone classified as a commercial driver going all over the country is to not carry.
As to me, company policy also keeps one out of my truck.
I do carry a fair size lock blade knife, and my 4-D cell maglight just in case.
If you don't exercise your rights you will lose them. No other amendment to the constitution changes when you cross a state line so why would the 2nd amendment?

I agree but reality is a witch.
Go to VA hospital in the most free state with a side arm and see how things turn out.
On paper and on internet that is so easy to say but it’s not that simple anymore.
That scene from Smokey and the Bandit suddenly comes to my mind.......
No way I would have let that go. I hate motorcyclists.
All of them? ... that may say more about you than it does about them. I'm a motorcyclist (not a "biker", there is a difference) and have had 47 motorcycles to date and have been riding and racing motorcycles since I was 8 years old......my wife, son and daughter also ride. There are good and bad motorcyclists, just like every other group in the world. Wanna be bikers are the worst offenders IME; usually you can spot them with their pirate garb and fake colors....
Oh, and a "scooter" looks like this:
Ltngdrvr, sorry this happened to you - there are idiots everywhere.
Like I said, I called them scooters because it pisses guys like that off no end.
My sister works for a lawyer, and she is going to ask what legal recourse I have, and see if she has a way of getting the guy's info for me.
There's plenty of plate lookup services but all of them feel scammy and I wasn't willing to pay a dollar to find out more than the free stuff like the vin for a 2022 electraglide, and if you were running a traffic cam I would absolutely consider suing them personally in small claims court.
