Hi, to start I’d like to say I made a stupid decision. I have a 1996 f250 7.3 which ran absolutely perfect with no issues. I have been seeing this “10k mod” all over YouTube and such, and i wanted to try it. I was really just curious. Well I tried it, and also tried a 5.6k resistor. Didn’t notice a difference, maybe I didn’t hook it up right. So I took it out 5 min later, and now my truck immediately dies after starting it. I’m supposed to drive it to work tomorrow and would like to fix it tonight if possible. Did I fry the icp? Am I screwed? So far I only checked connections and disconnected battery. Died right after starting again. Thank you!

okay well I unplugged the icp and the truck starts and idles good. I guess I answered my own question.
Sounds like you got it figured out. Should just need a new icp. Leaving it unplugged causes the truck to run using some preset values. It'll run and drive, but may throw a code.
