10k mod issues? c00nhunterjoe

I have done the mod as you "c00nhunterjoe" described and am now having an issue with a hesitation. Yesterday on the way home from work, my truck a 97HD 7.3 w/ 5 speed, Started to hesitate and it was acting to me like it was losing fuel all at once, then getting it back and running normal almost like I had turned the truck off. It only last for about one second and then runs fine. The idle is a little rough but that is normal from reading your write up on the mod. I built a 14.7, 15.6 and a 20.3 resistor when I initially did the mod and was running the 15 at the time. I swapped in the 14k after getting to the house yesterday afternoon and it ran fine this morning on the way to work this morning. I have been running the mod for about two weeks and it was running great. I even made a trip to NC pulling and 8K lbs.

Any ideas, I put my ohm meter on the 15k and it was reading about 15.3, wiggled it around some also to see if there was a intermintite break in the connection but couldn't get it to show one.

When my truck acted this way...I had no 10k mod. It was the cam position sensor. EZ fix I now know. The stealership charged me $265 for a $15 part and 5 minutes labor.

kind of sounds like the cam sensor, you could scan for a p0344.

Don't have a scanner here at the house or any check engine lights showing.

Hasn't done it since I took out the 15k and put the 14 back in though.

I'll have Advance scan it tommorrow.

it is possible that yours is doing the same thing mine is when i run the 22k, but i can make mine do it everytime, is yours intermittant or does it happen upon command? mine i do beleive is fuel delivery issues, i drop alot of fuel pressure really fast.

I don't know when you did this, but there is recall on the CPS. If they replaced your previous CPS with an old (black) one, you can have Ford replace it with the new (gray) one for free. My dealership didn't check for, or clear, any codes when my old CPS was replaced.
