I did another 500 mile round trip and drained the catch can.....I got approximately 4 oz. of water ...assuming its condensation because of the clarity. No oil crud yet.

I think you need something to make the diesel fumes, oil, coalese…some baffles or something.

The gases alone and the ten foot section of tubing should give it enough of an obstacle to settle. The ccv kit I installed has a diffuser on top of the valve cover mount, not internal but the small holes are probably doing as its designed. I like the results I see, and knowing its not being re-ingested into the engine helps.

I just wonder why there is no oil or fuel in the trap.

To be honest...there shouldn't be any of that, especially fuel (never heard of that happening). I think the tubing is colder than the engine discharge and thats where the condensation is from.

It puzzles me why there is oil in intercooler pipes from the ccv but no oil in the catch can.

I always get plenty of moisture during the colder, winter months... But there's ALWAYS a one or two "turds" floating and water soaked oil in the bottom of my Mishimoto catch can.

next week the truck is making a heavy pull (11k lbs) out to the Pocono mountains and back, once I get back I will open the catch can up and see the inside.

Looks great

if you get new codes…disconnect battery for a few minutes and check again.

a lot of folks on forums report new codes during pipe install which vanish by disconnecting battery.
