Must be for a tuned/modified engine and turbo. Never heard of a plastic intake breaking do to boost, but always thought the cold side intercooler tube was the weak link

Are these trivial claims with a stock engine with full emissions or deleted and tuned?

With a 66% increase in air flow on the intake, not sure the DPF can support a 66% increase in air flow on the output side of the engine

if you have specific questions…you should send the pusher folks an email.

i bought this to get rid of the plastic top section with all its meat hooks. Everyone I remove the top plastic night mare…I get bloody knuckles from the 20 or so bolts that are designed to stay in the plastic and when you try to remove the top plastic section…the bolts grab on to everything.

if any of the claim from pusher are realized…that would be a nice to have on top of no more bloody knuckles.

I'll start by saying that I would love to have one of these intakes because they are sexy, however I think the claims are basically snake oil. Without changing your turbo or air filter or exhaust, you're not going to flow any more air.
This is like marrying a supermodel claiming she's a good cook. It's expensive, and you might be disappointed in the food even if she's fun to show off to your friends.

I agree here, but I think this is Pusher's intentions. Once the plumbing is installed, now its time for the rest of the "good" stuff to be added. btw ... nice analogy with the super model.

I don’t know…I can add methonal injection which cools the air and get more horse power with out having to change the turbo.

it conceivable to me that an air flow pipe intentionally designed to flow more air instead of being designed to be a noise cancellation baffle will have some benifet. Also don’t know why ford has the egt flow doing a 180 …maybe it’s so the intake can act as a filter and collect soot…which it does…hopefully the straight egt path will help with that.

definitely agree I will have less bloody knuckles with a $@@# model than an ugly fat )&@#% .

Pardon my ignorance here. How would improving EGR flow do anything for performance or efficiency?

If I ever decided to upgrade my turbo with a 360 thrust bearing kit, then I'd go all the way and get a Pusher Intake... the next upgrade to the air flow system on my truck is going to be an aftermarket 4 inch DPF back... after that, I want a Mishimoto CAC. I'd probably go with a SPE cold pipe because I like the one piece silicone coupler hose and the fact it has ports on the adapter if you wanted to do methanol injection. Then it would only be natural to upgrade the intake to a Pusher, rebuild the turbo and upgrade the turbo wheels... man, I have the plan...just need the loot...

My next install is going to be the used Derringer tuner and the 2nd iDash that came that I bought with it. Plus the Monster Pedal that I bought new also. I wanted to get the DPK installed first. Stay tuned... pics and info to come.

Started at 7:00 am

took about 4.5 hrs to get to this point

Remaining is

flapper valve move from old to new

rubber connection from air filter to new pusher horn

i broke the fitting that feeds the coolant degas line…but it looks like super glue took care of that…I hope.

going for lunch.

May or may not finish today.
