I tried the search function but couldn't find an answer so I thought I'd throw out my problem here and see what I get.
Back ground:
I have a 56 F100 with a EZ Wire harness installed and LED lights in the dash and on all four corners (LED 1157's added and functional up front). The fuse box has a Hazards flasher along with the directional flasher unit (has a LED FLASHER).
I'm not sure how to wire the Hazards. The column does not have a hazard switch so I guess that leaves me adding a on/off switch in the dash. This isn't a problem since the dash has "Extra" holes for choke and throttle that currently aren't being used.
Has anyone got a schematic or diagram on how to add Hazards on my truck? I'm sure many folks have done this but I'm just not finding an answer to my question.
Intercept the brake switch wire and the two front turn signal wires. And then buy a 3 pole double throw switch and another flasher. You said you may already have a hazard flasher already plugged in the fuse box. That means you should have a unused wire leaving the fuse box that may say "hazard" on it. Find that wire. See if the diagram below makes any sense.
I'm not tracking. There are front and rear, left and right directional wires on the column. There's also a brake wire on the column. I'm not understanding how the switch hook up goes. Off the front left & right directional wires? How does the signal get to the rear?
Thanks Tom. I found a few kits but was thinking it has probably been done MANY times and it shouldn't be that hard to splice into your existing harness and add the hazards.

Unless you have separate amber rear turns, the rear brake lights ARE the rear turnlights. They are the same thing. Many people do not realize this. If you want to buy a 4 pole double throw switch, you can break the rear brake/turn wires individually and do it that way if you like.
I realize there's only one 1157 (LED Version) in each rear taillight. From what I'm reading, I need to tie into the two fronts signals and the rear brake feed. My problem is some where I read that if you step on the brake pedal all 4 corners light up due to a back feed. I thought I read you had to add a diode. But I'm not finding the article about the back feed nor the diode.
Study my diagram and make sure I didn't make any mistakes. I am showing the switch in "normal" position. If you press on the brake when in "hazard" position, you should get 12v on NBRK. The brake lights are hooked to BRK, so if the switch is down in the hazard flasher position, there should be no connection to the brake pedal power NBRK.
Like I said double check this, I do know most older vehicles will stop blinking if you step on the brake, and this is how the factory had it.
What type of steering column are you using? Usually if it's a modern column, it will have all these features made into it. If you have the old original column and do not mind the look, some of those clamp on signal boxes do have a hazard feature also I think.
It's an older Ford Column (I believe a 64). The original had column and gear box in one piece. I changed to a Toyota steering box so I had the old Ford box already and used it.
I'll just have to wire it up and see what happens.
